Our Story

Fēnxiǎng was born out of conversations with friends about the lack of affordable and high quality fashion in Hong Kong. We would all buy from high street stores, wear something once to never wear again. When looking for a dress for a wedding, my friend invited me to come and look in her (enviable) wardrobe for options - ‘shopping in her wardrobe’ as my mother called it.

Why couldn’t we all go shopping in each other’s wardrobe’s? Why couldn’t we all share some of the good we have?

I’ve long been a believer in sustainable fashion and buying less but higher quality pieces. These pieces are what I’ve found have stood the test of time. But, sometimes you do just want something fresh and fun to wear. The idea of Fēnxiǎng had begun.

Alongside my Co-Founder India (aka my sister), we started building a platform that had the same user experience as online shopping. You can rent, lend, buy, sell - all in once place.

You can share the good you have (whilst earning some money and clearing closet space) and find amazing pieces to rent or buy.

Our mission at Fēnxiǎng is to give women access to affordable contemporary fashion AND to drive more sustainable habits as we cannot ignore the huge impact that the fashion industry is having on our planet.

We are passionate about sustainability and creating a better world. There is a global overconsumption problem and we are on a mission to change the fashion industry and our fashion habits.

But, we still believe in amazing style and we don’t have to compromise on access to INCREDIBLE clothes.
